The Ministry of Economic Development has granted the request of the Sa Sartiglia Foundation for the inclusion of the festival in the postal stamps for 2010.
From February 12, sa Sartiglia is featured on a stamp printed by the Poligrafico dello Stato. The stamp was produced in 3 and a half million copies and was issued simultaneously with that of the Acireale Carnival. It is part of the thematic series “Italian Folklore”.
The drawing on the stamp was created by Tiziana Trinca. The drawing depicts su Componidori while riding down the street of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which stands out in the background. The clothes they wear in the drawing are reminiscent of both the clothes of the gremio of Farmers and the gremio of Woodworkers.
The stamp has been issued together with an article signed by the Mayor of Oristano and the President of the Oristano Foundation.
In addition to the stamp, the Philately Department of Poste Italiane has produced: a First Day Cover, a postcard depicting the same drawing present on the stamp, a philatelic card and, finally, a folder where all the philatelic items are collected.
